The Swim Tigers will compete one last time at the GHSA State Championship on Feb. 5-6 at Georgia Tech!


Our Varsity team wrestled hard this weekend, showing determination and resilience in every match. While we came up short, it was a weekend full of hard-fought battles, and weāre ready to keep pushing over the next four weeks.
We are proud of our team and look forward to their next competition this Friday at the 2nd Annual Commerce Wrestling Night Out!

We were honored to welcome State Superintendent Dr. Richard Woods to Commerce Middle School today. He presented CMS with the Literacy Leader Award for 6th-grade studentsā achievement and growth in reading.
This incredible recognition is a testament to the dedication, perseverance, and hard work of our students, teachers, and staff in fostering a strong culture of literacy and academic excellence. We are so proud of our school community for this outstanding accomplishment!
Thank you, Dr. Woods, for celebrating this achievement with us. Together, we continue to inspire a love for learning and literacy in our students!










Bingo for Books was a huge success at CPS!
We had an amazing turnout, and fun was had by all. Best of all, every student left with a brand-new book! At Commerce City Schools, we are committed to promoting literacy and are proud to sponsor engaging reading incentives like this.











Commerce City Schools will be closed on Monday, January 20th, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.


Mr. Kirk challenged our administrators to showcase the great things happening in CCSS, and today, Mrs. Milford and Dr. Powell rose to the occasion! They presented at the SSTAGE Promising Practices Conference in Athens, sharing the success and processes behind the non-traditional ELT model at CMS. The incredible Closing the Gaps scores of 102.9 in 2023 and 96.9 in 2024 are a testament to the dedication and hard work of our CMS team and the entire school system. Amazing things are happening in CCSS!





We had a fantastic meet and greet with Coach Gregory, where he shared his vision and plans for the CHS football program. Thank you to our CCSS families and community for coming out and supporting our program. Weāre excited to build on this momentum and look forward to an amazing season ahead.






Today, Mrs. Milford and Dr. Powell had the honor of attending the State Board of Education meeting and touring the Capitol as part of the New Curriculum Directors' Meeting. It was an incredible opportunity to engage with state leaders, collaborate on educational initiatives, and witness the heart of decision-making for our schools. Thank you to everyone who made this experience possible!
