The Commerce Tigers are ready to compete at the GHSA State Championship in Macon this Thursday! After an outstanding performance at Sectionals, 11 CHS wrestlers have earned their spots to compete at state.

Please join us in welcoming Coach Matt Rogers to the CCSS family! Coach Rogers will be joining us as the Sports Performance Director for CCSS and CHS PE Teacher starting in the 2025-2026 school year. He will work with our 6th to 12th-grade athletes to build and strengthen our program. With over 20 years of experience, multiple certifications, and experience leading entire athletic programs, we know Coach Rogers will be an incredible asset to our team and make a lasting impact on the development and success of our athletes!

We are thrilled to welcome Coach Jason Demos to the CCSS family! Coach Demos will be joining us as the Defensive Backs Coach and Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach, working alongside Coach Rogers to help develop and strengthen our athletes. He will also be teaching Physical Education at CES in the 2025-2026 school year. Coach Demos brings a wealth of experience, and we’re excited to see the positive impact he’ll have on both our athletic programs and students!

Congratulations to Laura Martin and Kaylee Purvis for being awarded the Jackson County Agricultural Facility/Night of Inspiration Scholarship! This evening, at the Ed Tolbert Memorial Jackson County Livestock Show, both recipients were honored with a $5,000 scholarship. Well done, ladies!

We are incredibly grateful to Nicholson Baptist Church for their generous donation of goody bags for our last youth wrestling match. Their kindness and support mean so much to our students, and we appreciate all they do for our community.
