Mrs. Hannah Kuroiwa, CMS ESOL Reading Interventionist, was the sole teacher from the State of Georgia selected to participate in the Peace Teachers Program from the U.S. Institute of Peace. The U.S. Institute of Peace is a national, nonpartisan, independent institute, founded by the U.S. Congress and dedicated to the proposition that a world without violent conflict is possible, practical, and essential for U.S. and global security. The program selects 1 teacher from each state yearly to participate. We are so proud of Mrs. Kuroiwa and honored to have her in our school system.
