Student leaders from the CMS Beta Club and Fellowship of Christian Athletes planted this yearās Field of Flags to honor our veterans for Veterans Day 2024. Each flag represents a veteran, as recognized by their loved ones.
Marvin, a Vietnam War medic, stopped by to see the display and shared his powerful story. He spoke about the challenges of saving lives during the war and returning home to face protests and disrespect. Despite this, he was deeply grateful for the Field of Flags. Marvin plans to send pictures of the display to everyone he served with, saying, āThe flags mean so much to me and all veterans. Thank you for remembering us on this special day.ā Itās an honor to share in this meaningful tribute to our veterans.

Happy Veterans Day to all who have served and are currently serving. Commerce City Schools proudly honors your dedication and sacrifice for our nation! Thank you for your service!

The Commerce City Schools Board of Education meeting has been moved to 5:00 pm on Monday, November 11th to accommodate schools hosting Veterans Day ceremonies.

We had the absolute joy of attending the wedding of Q and U at CPS. Kindergarten students participated in fun activities to celebrate the union of Q and U. The ceremony was a perfect celebration of how these two letters always work together to make words like "queen", "quick", and "question." We can't wait to see what magical words they'll create together in the future!

We are proud to have attended the 2024 Woman of the Year Luncheon and to celebrate one of our own, Alicia Vargas, as a nominee. Alicia's dedication to our students, staff, and community is truly inspiring. Congratulations, Alicia, and thank you for everything you do for Commerce City Schools. A huge congratulations also goes out to the other amazing nominees who are making a difference in our community.
