Commerce City Schools Community,

Governor Kemp will announce that he has signed an Executive Order to mandate schools will remain closed for in-person instruction through April 24.  At this time, students would be able to return on Monday, April 27.  Prior to April 27, the Governor will make a decision on the remainder of the school year.  For now, our school system will be on Spring Break as planned Monday, March 30-Friday, April 3.  Online instruction will continue for grades 3-12 from Monday, April 6-April 24.  For K-2 students, parents may pick up a device for their students on Monday, April 6, if necessary, to do online instruction Tuesday, April 7-April 24.  For students in grades 3-12, who may need a device, you can also pick up a Chromebook on Monday, April 6.  The times and locations for pick-up will be announced.  Thank you for your patience during this time.  Our school system has been reminded that we have the BEST students because they come from the BEST PARENTS!!!!  This online learning opportunity has been a true team effort between school and home!  Our teachers will be using Friday, March 27, as a planning day as it was originally designed to be.  The planning day will be used to plan instruction for April 6-24.  As always, if you have questions, please do not hesitate to ask.  Thanks for your continued support of our school system.

Sincerely,

Joy Tolbert
