Multicultural Night - This Thursday

posted Oct 22, 2019, 8:32 AM by Tobie Jones
This year will mark the 4th anniversary of Commerce City School's Multicultural Night that showcases the cultural richness of the school and community. It brings together students, families, and community members to share the elements of one’s culture and traditions through food, attire, performances and artistic displays. Join us this Thursday, October 24 at 5:30 in the Commerce High School Gym.

We will feature over 14 different countries in some way. We will enjoy an array of tasty treats from such countries as the Philippines, El Salvador, Mexico, and the United States just to name a few. We will also honor the culture heritage of countries through traditional clothing found in various regions around the world. We will conclude our night with the smashing of a pinata accompanied by the traditional Mexican pinata song.

Commerce City School District’s Multicultural Night demonstrates its commitment to creating a diverse community that affirms and accepts the full identities of all people, while inspiring academic excellence and a desire to build a more just and equitable world.
