Updated COVID Guidance

Happy New Year!!  With the reopening of schools upon us, please find below the guidance that our school system will follow.  This guidance aligns with the most recent guidance from the CDC, DPH, and the DOE.  We look forward to welcoming our students on Tuesday, January 4.

  1. If you are positive for COVID or you are experiencing symptoms after exposure, you will be isolated at home for five days.  After day 5, you may return to school if your symptoms are improving and you have been fever-free for 24 hours (with no medication) with the recommendation that you wear a mask for 5 days;
  2. If you have been exposed to someone with COVID but you are not having symptoms, you may continue to school, with the recommendation that you wear a mask for 10 days after your exposure;
  3. If you have a situation that does not fit the above scenarios, please consult with your school nurse.

Our system understands the importance of in-person learning so we will continue to take precautions to keep our students as healthy and safe as possible as we welcome them back to school for a healthy and successful second half of the school year.
